gigantomachy: (Itachi - Startled)
Archiving here; another Tablefappers thing from '09. For [livejournal.com profile] queen_qing , and the crazy neverending AU we did. Rated ... R? Blood, tears, and nudity.

a study in watercolor, or: love as blood )

gigantomachy: (Itachi - Ethereal)
For the newly-bloomed Shisui/Itachi community, [livejournal.com profile] bitter_nakano. Because FSTs are what I do when I want to write but have zero inspiration. Someday I will make covers that are not entirely hideous, but today is not that day.

23 songs including Florence+The Machine, Wye Oak, The Antlers, OneRepublic, Eisley, Cake Bake Betty, A Perfect Circle & more. )
gigantomachy: (arthur/merlin)
Notes: Oh my god, this fandom is so talented and I'm feeling a little ten years old and kinda chubby and in last year's bathing suit, vaguely terrified of even looking too hard at the pool. Alas, one of several plot bunnies that refuse to move until humored. I know fuck-all about England -- well, that and Arthurian legend, for that matter (and studying the legends isn't terribly helpful, considering how confusing those are). Still, if you can forgive the show for its inaccuracies, surely mine won't seem quite so bold.

So this is a bit of a future-fic (but not too-future), and there's spoilers for The Lady of the Lake, which is 2x ... something. Nine or ten, probably. Around 4500 words, for those who keep score. Sort of slashy, which is to say no making out, boo.

Also, I just realized that Arthur and Merlin's post-revelation relationship seems like it would go a lot like Tehol Beddict and his goofy manservant Bugg's (who just happens to also be the much less goofy Mael, elder god of the seas) did, with slightly less lulz and much more destiny. Except, y'know, Arthur was born to be king versus Tehol, who kind of stumbled into it by being obscenely clever and financially decimating his own empire, derp.

Summary: Merlin does not say "this is the water where I've buried our would-be loves, women and swords alike." Merlin takes the newly-crowned King on a fetch mission; both find far more than they expected.

where the water waits forever )
gigantomachy: (merlin - kinda porny)
I don't even know what came over me. I wanted to bring into this hideously talented fandom something meaningful and wistful and pretty and Gigantomachy-esque (if only because I don't have have the perseverance or attention span for epics), but then I started looking at unfilled kink meme prompts and the other meaningful thing isn't done yet anyway and this thing started kicking around my tender headmeat and screaming like a banshee in heat. So. Filthy, filthy (and a little snarky) plotless porn. The boys aren't mine in any way; caveat lector, yada-yada bow-chika orz.

Meet my very awkward hello ilu. o/ This is, embarrassingly enough, probably the longest thing I've ever written, at least for a one-shot. I DON'T EVEN KNOW, GUYS.

For the [livejournal.com profile] kinkme_merlin prompt: Arthur/Merlin, AU.
Merlin tests new products for a sex toy company. Arthur is the head designer. It is his job to observe these tests, ask questions and take notes. It's all very professional and clinical, until Arthur gets hard during a session.

did you question what it meant to you with a beat between your breaths? )
gigantomachy: (merlin)
Notes: I can't seem to get anything finished these days. Ideas become bunnies become a few frantic hours between work and sleep spent pounding at the keyboard and hoping that I can finish before the next one hits. Maybe it will work this time.

I haven't written second-person in almost a decade. I missed it. (And I imagine that can be taken a few ways.)

Written with heavy influence from the soundtrack The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, and The Golden Archipelago by Shearwater, which is a whole album about islands and destruction and doom and beauty and that's all I really need to get the thoughts working, ha. Also, Devil's Spoke by Laura Marling, which is my new eternal Arthur/Merlin theme, oh my god. (Thank you for introducing me, [livejournal.com profile] vazavati.)

Summary: Merlin remembers, where all others have forgotten. And he waits. Arthur/Merlin, with guest appearances from several others.
Warnings: Vague spoilers for 2.12 (like, really vague; you just aren't going to get two paragraphs if you haven't seen it), liberal blending with traditional lore, angst and woe and a small bit of non-graphic slash.

and a forever life is an infinite lie, hung wide )
gigantomachy: (arthur/merlin)
So this is what happens when you have a few free hours and want to learn how to make videos despite procrastinating learning just that for the last decade.

It's a new thing for me, so it's kind of a shaky effort, but it was fun?

Here, have some Merlin & Arthur being all doe-eyed and derpy, set to Weapon by Matthew Good.

Because I need a place to keep track of them, or I'll lose them forever.

Itachi - A Fatal Spell RP-themed fst from time at GND, post-death. A Perfect Circle, Calexico, The Shins, Cake Bake Betty, Paper Route and more.

Itachi - The Outside In My first FST, for Itachi. Originally for a particular RP, but the songs stand perfectly well with canon. Featuring Okkervil River, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Claire Voyant, Islands and more. Hosted on Mediafire, re-upped 21February.

For [livejournal.com profile] shadows_in_mind, who plays one fantastically creepy (and heartcrushingly human) Madara. AU, rp-verse. Five acts: some gen, some angst, some awkward porn, some death. Uh. Madara-centric PoV.

notes: A simmering idea, possibly shattered by recent revelations. Desperate love for breaking the beautiful and innocent. A night with Coheed & Cambria. A volatile mix, really.

Huge, huge thanks to [livejournal.com profile] queen_qing for the proofreading. ♥

Mostly just little pieces for RP, as I attempt to build on a little Kakipii. Unbetaed. New to the fandom, new to the character; don't mind me. :3

Who procrastinates like whoa?

Act V, set to Claire Voyant - Mercy.

gigantomachy: (Hetalia - Sweden/Finland otp)
Notes: Once, Finland was a Duchy of Russia. To strain relations between Sweden and Finland, Russia elevated the Finnish language to the same level of importance Swedish enjoyed. It was a smooth move; even today, there's a very obvious tension between the two countries.

This was a response written for [livejournal.com profile] hetalia_kink. It was a totally awesome prompt, and I'm glad I got the chance to jump on it. The actual porning in itself is kind of weak, but I haven't written anything remotely porny in pretty much forever, so. Bear with me, eh?

Also, writing sane, quietly evil Russia-kun is way too much fun.

Russia shows Sweden his place in the world, by leaving his mark on the one thing Sweden cannot protect -- his wife.

Plz to be telling me I'm not the only one all unf unf unf over the last few chapters? Because I am. >D (Also, don't expect this sudden run of things coming out at a decent pace to last; the inspiration is flowing, yes, but tomorrow is Moving In day, and it's just the beginning of my favorite clusterfuck of all time: re-situating. Alas!)

Act III, set to Tom McRae - The Boy with the Bubblegun.

gigantomachy: (neji)
I'm still alive, kids. This has been close to finished for some time, but with the moving and all I haven't had time to get to it -- that, and I kind of forgot that I was trying to keep these bits short, and I was trying to fill it in. Bah.

I dislike using honorifics in English language fiction, but it's pretty hard to get away from them where Itachi and Naruto are concerned, you know?

Act II, set to A Perfect Circle - Passive

it's your right, and your ability, to become my perfect enemy )
gigantomachy: (sakura // awake)
So, this was actually the first Naruto fic I ever started writing. It's been molding on various hard drives since about, gee, 2003. You'd think that after four years, I'd somehow manage to come up with some truly inspiring opus, but there was a reason that it sat there. I'd look at it from time to time, half-finished as it was with bits that I was totally pleased with, and just not know how to get to the end. Surprisingly enough, I ended up pulling pretty much all of those parts, because I've learned a lot about characterization in that time, and I've learned a lot about Kakashi as well. I also discovered that I prefer writing present-tense to past-tense.

Originally, it was titled 'Bad Guys', and was supposed to be follow a conversation between Kakashi and Naruto over morality and Zabuza and Haku's villain status. The end product, however, deviated considerably, and while I still wanted to follow that thread (and may at some later time), it became a lighter piece on Naruto's first real encounter with mortality and reality as he never imagined it.

Inspiration via Portishead and, uh, Dan Fogelburg. (SHUT UP DON'T JUDGE ME. D:) Naruto is not mine, and I'm totally making no money whatsoever with my fandrivel. Comments are appreciated -- I wonder if you can tell where I picked it up?

Just realized that this never got archived anywhere, due to it being super-secret Secret Santa fic for [livejournal.com profile] anzila from this last Christmas at [livejournal.com profile] kh_drabble. So. That said, have some Leon/Aerith waff; spoilers only for Hollow Bastion's "true" name.
