[hakuouki] the art of diversion
Yeaaaaah, here goes another one.  Prompt is Sano/Hijikata; Sano tries to get lucky with the vice-commander.  I started writing it late last night and just kind of ... yeah.  I'm not really sure how to excuse it.  Not porn, but definitely a little bit of drunken manly exploration.

Dude, I don't know.  Just go with it?

I ... don't really know what to say to this, other than I'd like to think this isn't the first time Tsun-tsun fukuchou here missed out on great sex by immediately passing right the fuck out.  Still probably better than spending that time his (notoriously bad) haiku.

Like I mentioned on plurk; this feels a little messed up.  Generally I'm supposed to receive porn/should-have-been-if-Toshi-wasn't-retarded-almost-porn for my birthday, right?  THIS IS SO BACKWARDS.

I kept losing my train of thought with this because I just got a new pair of amazing headphones and I've been listening to a ton of newer Shearwater and slkdjfsd I kept getting caught up in the bells and dulcimers and banjos and stuff.  If this ended up weird and disjointed, blame Jonathan Meiburg.

[hakuouki] like knives
I kind of fell in love with this prompt/pairing, ngl.  Gonna blame a lot of this on City and Colour, whose discography I am working through for the first time -- and incidentally where I stole the title from.  Thank you, anon requester; hope I can deliver the goods despite being pretty rusty with the smut.  Prompt is pretty basic; um, Saitou, Amagiri, porn.  Which there is.  In spades.

[hakuouki] beyond the gates
AN: This, I uh ... meant it to be lighter but I've been re-reading Written on the Body and in it there is leukemia and heartbreak.  Parallels, I am drawing them, appropriate or not, because I am a sucker for both tragedy and the relationship Kondo and Okita have in the animu.  Second person.  For the drabble meme fill: Okita/Kondou, convalesce.

Summary: This hole in my heart is in the shape of you, and no one else can fit it.  Two scenes from Osaka castle; Okita, Kondou, approaching the unknown end.

oh the mad coupling of hope and force in which we merged and despaired. )

[naruto, giftfic] the magic position
Archiving; a [livejournal.com profile] bitter_nakano secret santa tradefic.

Title: the magic position
Summary: to live, to learn, to love in the major key.
Rating: R
Disclaimer: All Naruto characters herein are the property of Kishimoto Masashi. No copyright infringement is intended.
Warning(s): Sex, swearing.
Word Count: 5,047
Author’s Notes: So, uh. For AkitoTsubaki -- music is totally up in my DO WANT field, and so music love you get! I openly admit to being deeply under the influence of Patrick Wolf's The Magic Position because that's what hit me when I saw the prompt and it seems like a good feeling to carry through a happier sort of Shisui/Itachi fic. :D AU, because I'm fairly certain one thing clan Uchiha wasn't interested in was the quality of their pipes. Hoping this finds you sated at the end; I gave it my best shot! (And apologies for the occasional bits of music-wank -- I'm kind of hopeless when I get going.)

[merlin] what happens next
Notes: Oh my god, this fandom is so talented and I'm feeling a little ten years old and kinda chubby and in last year's bathing suit, vaguely terrified of even looking too hard at the pool. Alas, one of several plot bunnies that refuse to move until humored. I know fuck-all about England -- well, that and Arthurian legend, for that matter (and studying the legends isn't terribly helpful, considering how confusing those are). Still, if you can forgive the show for its inaccuracies, surely mine won't seem quite so bold.

So this is a bit of a future-fic (but not too-future), and there's spoilers for The Lady of the Lake, which is 2x ... something. Nine or ten, probably. Around 4500 words, for those who keep score. Sort of slashy, which is to say no making out, boo.

Also, I just realized that Arthur and Merlin's post-revelation relationship seems like it would go a lot like Tehol Beddict and his goofy manservant Bugg's (who just happens to also be the much less goofy Mael, elder god of the seas) did, with slightly less lulz and much more destiny. Except, y'know, Arthur was born to be king versus Tehol, who kind of stumbled into it by being obscenely clever and financially decimating his own empire, derp.

Summary: Merlin does not say "this is the water where I've buried our would-be loves, women and swords alike." Merlin takes the newly-crowned King on a fetch mission; both find far more than they expected.

[Merlin] Everlasting
Notes: I can't seem to get anything finished these days. Ideas become bunnies become a few frantic hours between work and sleep spent pounding at the keyboard and hoping that I can finish before the next one hits. Maybe it will work this time.

I haven't written second-person in almost a decade. I missed it. (And I imagine that can be taken a few ways.)

Written with heavy influence from the soundtrack The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, and The Golden Archipelago by Shearwater, which is a whole album about islands and destruction and doom and beauty and that's all I really need to get the thoughts working, ha. Also, Devil's Spoke by Laura Marling, which is my new eternal Arthur/Merlin theme, oh my god. (Thank you for introducing me, [livejournal.com profile] vazavati.)

Summary: Merlin remembers, where all others have forgotten. And he waits. Arthur/Merlin, with guest appearances from several others.
Warnings: Vague spoilers for 2.12 (like, really vague; you just aren't going to get two paragraphs if you haven't seen it), liberal blending with traditional lore, angst and woe and a small bit of non-graphic slash.
